Linlithgow Loch (2)

I know many of you loved the coots fancy feet yesterday so here's another photo!

Then a lovely pair of tufted ducks - the male is the black and white one of course! Notice the tuft on his head!

and a few scenes from around Linlithgow Loch!

with Linlithgow Palace in the background.

Great photos. Amazing.

The tufted ducks are adorable. The Linlithgow Castle however, looks cold and forbidding. Is it abandoned or maybe haunted? (Maybe it's just having a bad day.)

Thanks everyone! Ms Sparrow - its the effect of the light on the castle I think! It's a major tourist attraction!

Nice shots, Juliet. I've always loved Coots, ever since I used to watch them with fascination, as they darted about a mill-pond we passed on my way to Infants School.

I can't imagine even being able to see a castle. Incredible. One day I shall see one.

Beautiful images!~ And I do love the coots. In Louisiana, the Cajuns call them Poule d'eau. I think that's roughly "water chickens"! Maybe it's because of that ungainly way they take flight.

Wonderful shots of the ducks and coots! I would love to see the Tufted Duck. The castle looks beautiful. Castles are cool, I have visited Windsor Castle, it is amazing inside. Wonderful photos. Have a great weekend.
